I didn't trade AMZN in the morning, but it was still on my radar because it never filled the gap.
If I had noticed the move earlier, i would of shorted when the first red arrow bar broke to a new low from the previous bar. In anticipation of it going lower, but I entered late 1st red arrow.
1st red arrow) entered short trade got stopped out
2nd red arrow) entered short---winner
3rd red arrow) entered short ---winner
There were no more trades left with this method. The +-.50 trades were taken on the first bar.
On a side note, I wish I had a dashboard indicator to tell me what trades are left for a basket of MTC/GAP stocks. The indicator would display what stocks went to +-.50 and what stocks filled the Gap. Then you could just look at the stocks that have trades left to be made. Any help out there would be appreciated. Thanks

I didn't trade it on the open, but will short until the gap fills. There is no long trade
available that would be supported by the stats. I made 5 short trades starting at
about 10:10 until now. I only have a small position left and I'm done for the day.

Hey Strat, I have seen TRO make reference to how this method doesn't backtest. Is that true?

Sorry...I haven't tried to do an automated backtest.

A backtest would be beneficial. Are you ever concerned with a collapse of a stock? I mean puting so much of your eggs in one basket? Wouldn't an ETF be safer intraday?
