The following is my swing trade filter. It looks for the first pull back from a breakout, where amateur traders jump into a breakout, over buying which causes a sell off.

The filter will return stocks that are nearing the end of a pull back, falling to their support. Look for stocks that have a climbing ADX or high ADX reading. Save these stocks to a watch list. Then wait for a breakout on daily highs on the hourly chart for the next day (an open higher than previous day). Some stocks may take an additional day before they turn around...

This filter will produce high returns BUT it isn't 100% automated... the filter will return pullbacks that are false, like stocks that are nearing the end of a long uptrend. You need to be able to manually filter those types of stocks out. I suggest running the filter on past dates to get the hang of what it produces. I still don't have it 100% down but I do average 6% gains every 3-4 days.

I'm open to any suggestion to help improve it!

Very Nice!!!
And thanks for sharing!

Why exclude the 1 to 5 stocks?

The lower volume stocks are more risky...or so I am told. Predators slam big positions if you have a tight stop loss.
Its easy money for them..... I have found trailing stops dont get slamed like regular stop losses....

Gave some back today.......... setting up stop loss buys with tight trails while in meetings is not the best way to play it.......

I am starting to be able to tell if its gonna run or not right off the BO........

Got some IM at the 17 cross near the close......still holding hat tip John.

Action today was strange.........the trend is your friend still up.

Effective August 26, 2009, NF Energy Saving Corporation of America will change its OTCBB stock ticker symbol to NFEC from NFES.

It had a 1:3 stock rev-split the stock closed on 8-26 for $5.25 so my math 3 x 5.25 = 15.75

The stock opend @ 20.00 sold off to 5.25, today it opend @ 6.1 ran to 7 closed @ 6.8.

6.8 is a long way from 15.75.......

I am going to buy some if it starts to move up tomorow.........its thinly traded only 25k shares last 2 days.
